Plus it always lets you choose between 2 or 3 totally different levels for each stage of each run. Absolutely phenomenal, tight combat, huge array of weapons, good continued progression between runs, lots of interesting biomes and enemies, and the game keeps throwing new ones at you as the difficulty level increases in subsequent runs. I tried Slay the Spire but didn't get into it, but I know that a lot of people really enjoy this roguelike.ĭead Cells is anther game that's heavily praised, although I hear that it gets quite difficult and that's why I haven't tried it.

I generally prefer turn-based games or FPS's, so I haven't played this too much of this. You can pick between different family members to clear dungeons with and each level up and learn new abilities. I've also played Children of Morta and find the gameplay interesting. SuperHot Mind Control Delete is also pretty fun if you want an FPS roguelike. Combined with a great synthwave soundtrack and lots of diverse party members, each run feels exciting and different enough to keep you playing.
